When WORKS begins a project for a client, we also begin a relationship. One of our Boxford clients with a nearly 25-year-old home hired us to repair the chimney and install new corner boards on the rear. We also filled in carpenter bee holes. Then the client told us that she had noticed dry rot by the front door, where she was planning on replacing the door. We moved a granite step to check out the problem and suggested, just in case, checking the back door, too.
We took care of the dry rot, which included removing and replacing siding as well as returning that granite step to its original position. Then we helped install the new door, including door trim and baseboards.

A farming community since its founding in 1646, Boxford is dotted with stone walls that originally lined farm boundaries. Its many ponds and hiking trails ensure plenty of choices for outside activity. It is still small enough to use the traditional New England form of government, the town meeting.
